**SYSTEM MAINTENANCE NOTICE*

cat5_network_cables_3XO Communications notified COIRS that they will be performing upgrades to the network switches that support our radio system between Saturday 07/18 @ 23:00  and Sunday 07/19 @ 06:00. There will be at least one connectivity interruption of up to 15 minutes during this time frame that will cause the system to go into site trunking. Dispatchers will need to be ready to use back up radios/walkies during this outage. Field units may receive the “SITE TRUNKING” notice on their radios, but can continue to operate on their normal talk-groups.

If you have any questions/concerns about the outages, please contact Jay Somerville

Hilliard/Darby Site Underway

ConstructionPic070815Today crews broke ground for the new Hilliard/Darby tower site. The site, which is a partnership between COIRS and Verizon Wireless, will be a 190′ mono-pole tower with two shelters that will serve both entities and provide much improved public-safety radio and private 3G/4G coverage throughout Hilliard and Norwich Township. Completion is expected by the end of September.

As of today, the concrete pads have been poured and the base for the tower is ready.
